Race Information

The run/walk will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 8:30 a.m.
 5K Run begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. / 1-mile walk begins at 9:15 a.m.

Packet Pickup and Registration will be available from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at the Albany Welcome Center (112 N Front St) on Friday, Oct. 23rd. Pre-registration is available online at active.com or registration forms can be downloaded or picked up at area locations and mailed to the Dougherty County Medical Society. Sorry, packets can't be mailed.

Race Day Registration:
Race Day Registration will be held 6:30 A.M. until 9:00 A.M.
at the Albany Welcome Center (112 N Front St)
All registrants will receive a race T-shirt and Goody Bag.
All Runners and Walkers are eligible for Door Prizes.
 Accurate shirt size with race designation is guaranteed only to pre-registration participants.

INDIVIDUAL ENTRY FEES:

Adults - 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk

• Preregistration postmarked by Sept. 27, 2009 - $20
• After Sept. 27, 2008 - $23
• Race Day Registration - $25

Children (under 12) - 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk

• Preregistration postmarked by Sept. 27, 2009 - $15
• After Sept. 27, 2008 - $18
• Race Day Registration - $20

Health & Fitness Expo
Plan to stick around after the race for the Health & Fitness Expo presenting various health care agencies and other programs in the community

Safety
For the safety of all runners, walkers and wheelers:
NO bicycles, baby joggers, strollers, skate boards, roller blades or roller skates are allowed on the course, and violators may be removed. Sorry- no pets allowed.

The 5K Course:

Runners will begin on Broad Avenue, just next to the Hilton Garden Inn, then, turn right on Washington, left on Flint, left on Jackson and then right onto Broad Avenue. Continue up Broad, right on N. Harding and the last right onto Pine Avenue to the finish line near the new Flint RiverQuarium.
