1-Mile walkers and runners can cheer on the winners of the 5K Run
before lining up for their event. The 1-mile walk starts at 9:00 a.m.
2009 RiverFront 1-Mile Walk and Run will be treated to a new course which starts at the Albany Welcome Center and ends right alongside the banks of the Flint River.
- Runners and walkers will begin on Front Street and Broad Avenue, in front of the Broad Avenue Bridge
- Run/walk north on Front Street toward the Flint RiverQuarium.
- Left on Pine
- Right on Washington.
(Left lane will be closed to traffic, so please keep left)
- Right on Roosevelt
- Walk/Run through Heritage Plaza straight through to the train depot. There is a sidewalk that will take you to the RiverFront path.
- Follow the RiverFront path to the finish line
